paintings
my first dollar was made selling my artwork at the age of 15.
I fell in love with art at a young age. In kindergarten, my work was nothing but stick figures and messy crayons, but over many years of visual art studies and practice, it slowly became more. I took art classes through high school and during lonely summers at home, I found myself painting for hours and days on end.
When my confidence in my paintings grew, I commissioned artwork and created an Instagram page to advertise my creations. I sold custom paintings of many things - portraits for dancers, drawings of childhood homes, decor for new apartments, and many more. to this day, I still see my artwork on the walls of many of my friends’ homes.
I lost touch with my painting practices due to the large demands of university, but during the Covid-19 lockdown, I found myself back in my childhood bedroom, with my old painting supplies. Once again, art was there to comfort me in times of solitaire. Although I’ve found many other creative outlets over the years, painting will always hold a special place in my heart for being one of the core ways of discovering my creative confidence.
My artwork consists of many things, but I primarily love to recreate my most admired famous pieces or album covers that I love. Below are some of my favourite pieces that I created for projects, friends, family, and myself.
