photography

in my bag at all times is at LEAST one camera.

As an avid memory documenter, photography presented itself very naturally in my life. My very first piece of technology was a Blue Cannon Powershot Elph 100 HS in 2011, which I chose over the iPod touch that was trending among the other kids at school. Bringing my camera and taking pictures of anything and everything became a part of me.

When I got my first iPhone, my photo-taking transitioned away from my blue digital camera. However, during university, I became infatuated with film photography. I pawned my first film camera off of Kijiji for $30 and once again, I became extremely intentional with the memories I was capturing. The excitement of getting images back of memories that had fled my mind was a boost of serotonin during a time when the world had become simple in lockdown. With digital cameras coming back into trend, I have revived my blue rhinestoned Cannon Powershot, and have relearned how to stray away from excess and focus on capturing the right moment.

Here are some of my favourite shots from my Nikon AF210, FujiFilm Finepix A900, and Canon G7x.
